We all have them; the friend that cares about you enough to talk you out of those mlm “schemes”. They don’t care about us when we get dumped, could care less when we lost our job, gave us a fake smirk when we got a new girlfriend and a new job, BUT when the time comes for us to venture out into the world and start our own business, man oh man do they care!

Aunt Bertha calls you on the phone telling you that Mr. Aunt Bertha lost his shirt in one of those “ponzis”. Sister Katherine begs you not to go through with it and your parents… Please for the love of god, let’s not even get into that!

So the question is, how can you get this negativity away from your business long enough to succeed? I mean honestly you don’t have to keep it away forever; just long enough for you to get your first paycheck because when you get that they’re ready to sell their sole to the devil himself just to join your business!

But still this a HUGE problem in our business. The average network marketer lasts ONLY 93 DAYS. And to be quite honest, I think the main reason why people quit so soon is because of their “loving” family.

Realistically on average it takes about 3 to 6 months to see ANY kind of money in this business, but for some reason your friends think you’re a huge failure if you haven’t made money in your first two weeks. They have been slaving away for years to get little wages, yet if we’re not rich in 2 weeks, we’re bums! And then they just hammer down on ya’ for the next 2 months and most people toss in that furry white towel.

So how can we make sure the same doesn’t happen to us? How can we keep this negativity out of our lives?

Step 1: Realize it’s going to happen.

Simply accept it. Your family is going to HATE what you do. They’ll hate every single second of it. If they don’t have a dream themselves, or if they don’t think they can reach their dreams they’ll be the first person to talk you out of yours.

So just accept this and know its comin’!

Step 2: Never EVER talk about your business. I know you’re excited, trust me I get it. I haven’t been able to sleep at night for the last 2 years because I’m so excited. We are living the lives of our dreams. Even if you haven’t made any money yet, you’re still doing something 97% of people will never do, which takes a crap load of courage and I commend you for it! Even with only 20 bucks in your bank account, you’re still livin’ the dream baby!

But even though you’re excited, even though you want to tell the world, even though your friends and family might be different than all the others, don’t say a word! Ever!

Trust me in the end talking about your business to friends and family will come back to bite you in the a**. Maybe not at first. But give it a couple of months without that big paycheck you promised them, and you’ll start to see it my way.

Step 3: Keep a journal and write out all of your thoughts.

This one isn’t mandatory, but obviously if you’re reading this post you’re an entrepreneur, which means you’re at least a little bit like me. And me, I have SO many thoughts running through my head all day long. I can’t sleep, I want to talk about them but I can’t, and quite frankly it drives me crazy.

So what I started doing a while back was writing out ALL of my thoughts. Every morning when I wake up, I write out my dream. During the day I write out the good stuff and the bad stuff that I’m tempted to Facebook the world about. Every night before I go to bed I write out my “multi-million dollar” business plan. And you know what? It helps! It helps A LOT! I don’t have that urge to talk about my business anymore.

Is it a little different and weird? Absolutely, but shoot we’re entrepreneurs we are a little different and weird!

Step 4: If they EVER bring up your business, either change the subject and/or walk away. Realize that you have nothing to prove. You can’t win with most people. You don’t have to prove to Uncle Joey that just because he works 9 to 5 every day he’s a horrible person. Or that just because Cousin Trish is going to a 4 year college with a business major (which me and you know is absolutely pointless! If you want to learn how to run a business, don’t talk to professors that couldn’t even pass as a used car salesman (not that all are this bad; I’ve had some absolutely phenominal professors that I would love to have mentor me.), run your own business! Right? Take that 100 grand you’d spend on college and put it into a network marketing business, and I’ll show you some real success) Uhmm.. You probably forgot the beginning of this sentence because of my 3 minute rant, but I said “Or that because Cousin Trish is going to 4 year college with a business major she is doomed to a life of failure.

In the end their minds won’t change, but yours very possibly could, so you HAVE to stay away from that.

Step 5: Make some money.

You want to prove people wrong? You don’t do that with words. You do that with results. You get after it and you make some money. It’s honestly not hard, IF you know what you’re doing.

When you first start looking into it, you’ll hear a ton of negative things. People will tell you that network marketing companies are “pyramid schemes”. Or they’ll say “only the people at the top make any money”. Or they’ll tell you “oh no those things are just a bunch of scams!”

Hahaha! That stuff cracks me up.

A. Corporate America is a giant pyramid scheme.

Draw out the corporate structure of any major corporation. What do you see? A pyramid. CEO at the top (making all the money). Then Presidents (making less). Vice Presidents (even less). A bunch of middle men (way less). And last, but not least, the average employee (making practically nothing).

Some people see security in that. I. see. a. lousy. pyramid. scheme. (and if you haven’t noticed, it’s not that secure anymore)

B. In network marketing, each person has an equal opportunity at the same income level. Comp plans are set up in a way that it doesn’t matter when you join. You can actually join Isagenix today, and make more money than the very first person ever in.

This was proven in a company called Monavie. Like Isagenix, it’s a legitimate network marketing opportunity. The number 1 income earner in Monavie today is a guy that joined a year after it was formed. He wasn’t “at the top”, but he’s making “all the money”. Hmm..

C. Companies like Isagenix have been around for YEARS. If it was a scam, wouldn’t you think the FTC would have shut it down by now? BTW the FTC absolutely loves shutting these things down.

I’m not saying that scams don’t exist. They do. However, most get shut down within their first 2 weeks and the rest within their first month. All it takes is a couple of complaints and they’re gone.

Plus it’s easy to tell the pyramid schemes apart from the legitimate business opportunities like Isagenix.

All you have to do is look at the products. Pyramid schemes don’t have any. All they do is pass money from one person to another, whereas legitimate companies have legitimate products. You can actually build the Isagenix business by purely selling the products and without recruiting any new people into the business (not recommended, however it’s possible).

That’s how you can tell that Isagenix is not a scam. Not even close.

The real question is: can Isaganix be the tool to help make your dreams come true?

Now I‘m not personally involved with Isagenix, however I can tell you that I have close friends involved with it and they’re doing great. They absolutely love it..

..but, here’s what you’ve got to understand..

The opportunity is just that: an opportunity. That in itself will not make you a dime. Your income in this industry will ultimately come down to you; your desire and your abilities.

Choosing the right company is important, however building an mlm organization comes down to a whole lot more than being in a good opportunity.

The way the ACN compensation plan is laid out you can easily make more money than the person that sponsors you, unlike in pyamid schemes (or corporate America for that matter), where the person at the top makes all the money.

Plus, remember earlier when I told you about Donald Trump? Well he actually owns a portion of ACN and trust me, he has a whole team of publicists, and they wouldn’t let him put his neck on the line over a scammy company.

Donald Trump has WAY too much to lose.

So ACN isn’t a scam, awesome. But can YOU make money with it?

That’s the real question.

Here’s the real answer:

It depends.

Nothing in free enterprise is guaranteed. If you start a restaurant today, you have a 90% chance of being out of business in the next 5 years and another 90% chance of being out of business in the 5 years after that. Crummy odds right?

Network marketing is no different. Most fail, however the great thing about network marketing is that you have 100% control over what you’re doing, you control your destiny.

You choose your plan of action. You choose your marketing strategies. You create the game plan. Your business is under your control.

Succeeding in ACN comes down to two critical variables: generating massive amounts of leads (I.E. a steady flow of prospects that you can potentially recruit on a daily basis) and recruiting new reps FAST.

Without leads it is IMPOSSIBLE to create legacy altering wealth with an ACN business.

Talking to friends and family is great.. until you run out of friends and family.

I can honestly say that mastering lead generation on the internet was the turning point in my business and in the direction of my life. That is the single skill that has been responsible for me recruiting over 160 people before age 21..

You see, I’m not a member of Ambit Energy, therefore this review will be 100% unbiased and uncensored, plus I’ve reviewed hundreds of different network marketing companies from around the world. I’ve seen what works, and I know what doesn’t.

This is the most honest Ambit Energy Review online.

As I’m sure you already know, Ambit Energy is an energy network marketing company. Currently it is one of the most popular electric network marketing opportunities across the nation.

The Ambit Energy services are now offered in Texas, New York and Illinois.

The biggest question people want to know before they join is “Is Ambit Energy A Scam?”

The answer to that question is a big fat “no”.

It’s not a scam. It’s not a pyramid scheme. It’s a 100% legitimate business opportunity.

I love how people call network marketing companies “pyramid schemes”, when corporate is set up like this: CEO (At top making the most), President (making second most), Vice Presidents (making third most), A bunch of other middle men (making 4th most), and then the regular employees making the least. That’s a pyramid scheme!

In Ambit Energy (or any legitimate network marketing business), it doesn’t matter when you join, you can make just as much money as the very first person that joined, and it’s easy to make way more money than the person that sponsored you (making it shaped nothing like a pyramid). It gives an equal opportunity to everyone involved, UNLIKE corporate america.

Even though it’s not a scam, one downfall according to a few people online is that Ambit Energy’s prices are a little high. These people need to suck on a lemon, however they’re actually right. Ambit’s prices are higher than other energy company‘s, but here’s what they aren’t taking into account: with Ambit you’re not just getting energy. You’re getting a business in a box as well, and if Ambit was the cheapest thing out there, it would be impossible to make money with it (not a good thing). That’s why EVERY legit network marketing company’s prices are a little bit higher than the average. That’s just the way it has to be.

If you don’t like it, go have a boss tell you what you what to do all day. Fine with me. (completely kidding, I would never wish that on anybody).

So now that we know it’s not a scam, the real question becomes: “Can I (YOU) make money with it?”

That depends. There’s a ton that goes into building a profitable online network marketing business, but here are the three “money making activities”:

1. You have to sell the service: electricity.

2. You’re going to have to build your organization- that means sponsoring new reps into the business (obviously)

3. You have to get the people that you bring in to duplicate your results.

Simple enough, right? Not necessarily..

From what I‘ve seen so far, many Ambit distributors struggle to do just that.

The Problem?

Well for one, its in the way the opportunity is promoted by many distributors. Many new Ambit Energy consultants have no clue on what they need to do first. For many it’s their first time in a network marketing business opportunity. They have no marketing experience and no previous training.

Most start off with the traditional marketing outline: write down a list of your 100 closes family and friends and pitch them on the next greatest biz opp,  hand flyers to everyone within 3 feet, knock on doors around and cold call the yellow pages.

These strategies just don’t work like they use to. The failure rate for people using marketing strategies like this is astronomical.

I’m not saying it’s impossible to build your online business this way, it’s just extremely difficult and lame. Who would want to do that? I sure as heck wouldn’t.

Here’s my day:

I wake up (no alarm clock). The first thing I do every morning is put on some sweatpants and go for an easy 10 minute jog to get my blood moving. Then I’m home to drink a smoothie and listen to some Tony Robbins (inspirational speaker). Then I work for 3 hours on my business. I do simple tasks like write a blog post or post an ad on Facebook and respond to emails. By the time I’m done with my work, it’s about 1 o’clock and I’m done for the day. THAT’S IT.

That’s all I do and in the past 6 months alone I’ve personally been able to build a team of over 160 people.

I’m able to do this by leveraging the internet. The internet does the work for me; I just manage it like a real business owner would do. The internet is my employee (a damn good one).

Of course it would be crazy to think that your business is going to start off like this. In the beginning, you’re going to have to work 4 to 5 hours or MORE per day. You’re going to have to work harder than you’ve ever worked before.

In the beginning I would have days that I wouldn’t eat or sleep. I just forgot to eat, and I was too wound up to sleep. I wanted it.. More than anything. That’s how it has to be at first, if this is what you really want.

Then in 90 days, you can live the rest of your life the way I live mine. Trade 40 years at a job or 90 days with your own business?

The choice is yours my friend.

Greetings from Landon Stewart. A couple of years ago I was doing the exact same thing you’re doing right now: I was surfing the net reading “Vector Marketing Scam” articles trying to figure out if this Vector Marketing thing was a legit job or a dirty scam looking to take my money.

You probably just received the same letter that I did 2 years back labeled Vector Marketing and claiming they will pay you 15 bucks an hour.

At first I didn’t even believe it was true. There’s no way some company is going to pay me, an 18 year old college kid, 15 bucks an hour I thought to myself.

This thing had scam written all over it.

However, I then got online looking answers.

I saw mixed feelings everywhere; hundreds and hundreds of completely opposite reviews. I saw petitions to “end the Vector Marketing Scam”. I also saw kids saying that joining Vector Marketing was the best decision they’ve ever made.

Some claimed it to be great, some claimed it to be an out right scam.

Now, I’m not one to believe everything I read, so I decided the only way for me to really know is to check it out for myself.

So that’s exactly what I did.

I ended up going to the interview and actually taking the job. I worked there all summer long, and this is my honest Vector Marketing Review.

**Important: Vector Marketing is NOT a scam. The hundreds of bad reviews online are written by people that just couldn’t do what it takes to make money using their system. The system they have set up for you is not necessarily easy, however IF you follow it 100%, you WILL make money. I did. **

If you decide to try Vector Marketing out here’s exactly what is going to happen:

First, you’ll have a group interview. This will be with a group of people ranging in size anywhere from 5 to 10 people.

It will probably be the most boring interviews of your life. You’ll be asked a bunch of basic questions really just so the manager can see if you’re at least somewhat coherent.

Pay attention to the interviewer and answer any questions you’re asked; you’ll do just fine.

As long as you don’t act stupid during the group interview, you’ll be asked to participate in the 1 on 1 interview with your soon-to-be manager.

Again, this part of the process is super simple. You’ll be asked about your goals, dreams, etc. Just answer these questions to the best of your ability, and you’ll do just fine.

If you want the job, it’s yours, no problem.

Getting the job is EASY. Doing well in the job is, well, uh.. not quite as easy.

Right before the end of the group interview, you’ll find out that the $15    per hour job is selling Cutco knives to your friends and family.

To be honest, at first I thought “you’ve got to be kidding me! Knives!? Really?”

However, in all fairness to Vector Marketing, these knives are pretty flippin’ sweet. They’ll give you the specs on these bad boys, so I’m not going to, but just know these aren’t your average kitchen knife.

They are super high quality, and I still use mine to this day.

So in my opinion,  the “knife selling” part really isn’t a deal breaker.

**Before we continue, one thing to keep in mind: You aren’t technically paid $15 per hour. You’re actually paid $15 per presentation you make. Each presentation lasts roughly an hour though, so you’re still making $15 per hour, just not in the normal 9 to 5 sense. You’re also paid commissions on what you sell (something like 5%-10%), which can really add up over time. **

Once you’re offered the job, you’ll be asked to start your training. If you thought the interview was boring, prepare yourself. The training is 3 LONG days of rigorous work learning everything there is to know about the products your selling.

If you’ve never had sales training before, this will be a fantastic experience for you, as you will learn a ton about selling, which you’ll be able to apply in the real world for the rest of your life.

The training doesn‘t cost money, but you don’t get paid for it either.

At the end of the training, you’ll be asked to buy your starter kit of knives to use during your presentation. I can’t remember the exact amount, but I believe it was over $200.00.

That seems like a lot of money, but keep in mind, you get to keep these knives for the rest of your life, and normally the package you’re getting costs $500-$1,000, so you’re getting a substantial discount.

Now the fun part starts.

It’s time to start selling!

During your third day of training, your manager will have you write out a list of your 50+ closest friends and family members to begin setting up appointments.

As soon as you leave training, you’ll immediately start calling the names on the list to set up dozens of presentations.

**This is the MOST important part of your job. If you don’t do presentations, you don’t make money. It’s that simple. Vector Marketing is a numbers game. Make more calls, get more appointments, get more sales, make more money.

The people that I worked with that didn’t make money in Vector all failed here. They didn’t make enough calls. They’d call 3 people: 2 wouldn’t answer and the third would turn down the presentation. Then the rep would quit. I was making 15-20 presentations per week, and I was making 100+ calls per week. Not everyone would let me present, but that didn’t stop me from making more calls.

The presentation aspect of Vector Marketing really isn’t too difficult. They’ll actually give you a proven script to use, and all you have to do is follow it. I personally changed certain parts of the script to make it fit my personality, and of course you’re free to do the same, but you don’t have to change a thing, and you’ll still get sales.

You’ll actually be surprised at how many sales you get.

When I first started looking at the prices, I thought there was no way people would pay $500 for a set up knives, but if you do your presentation the right way, people WILL buy.

I sold at least one knife on almost every single sales call that I went on.

I realize that I’m making this sound pretty easy, but in to be completely honest, it’s not. We started off the summer with just over 30 people in my office and we ended the summer with six. Six of us were able to get going and the rest didn’t make any money at all.

Very few Vector Marketing reps earn a steady paycheck from their job.

Plus the other downsides are:

1.) You have to pay $200-$300 to get started.
2.) You have to bug all of your friends and family.
3.) The commissions you earn from each sale are tiny.

Vector Marketing isn’t a scam, however..

You can do better, A LOT better.

For example: Just this morning alone, I’ve been able to make more money from home without bugging a single family member, than I did in the entire time I worked for Vector Marketing.

What I do is super simple, you could actally learn to do the exact same thing.. and make the exact same money within the next 7 days or less.

What I do is..

1.) 10 times cheaper to get started.
2.) Non-reliant on friends and family (if you don’t want to talk to a single friend or family member, you don’t have to! I don’t.)
3.) Paying out 100% commissions on EVERYTING you sell.

All I do is market a simple product on the internet. I don’t do in home presentations EVER.

In fact I have an autopilot presentation running for me online 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
